
Deborah Brancato joined the Hudson River Team in November 2008 as a staff attorney and works on Riverkeeper’s ongoing legal challenge to the license renewal of the Indian Point nuclear power plant, and related policy issues. Ms. Brancato received her B.A. from Fairfield University, summa cum laude, where she was Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D., and Environmental Law Certificate, magna cum laude, from Pace University School of Law, where she was an Academic Merit Scholar, an Articles Editor of the Pace Environmental Law Review, and a Vice-Chair of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. During law school, she interned with the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., as well as the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic. Prior to joining Riverkeeper, she was an associate attorney at a small civil litigation law firm in White Plains.
