Emily Griffin

Emily Griffin became a part of the Development team in 2009 working on fundraising materials, membership management, and grant research. Before coming to Riverkeeper she worked for the College of Wooster in the Office of the Registrar. While at Wooster, she conducted research for a group of faculty members in the pursuit of creating a new minor at the college that would focus on environmental issues. In 2008 the Environmental Studies minor was officially established as a part of their academics offering interdisciplinary courses geared towards understanding ecosystems function, how technological advances and human behavior affect fundamental ecological processes, and what political and psychological tactics may be harnessed to address the problem. After moving to New York City, she worked for Jane Marvel, Inc. an accessory company widely popular for their vegan, eco-friendly bags.

Emily’s interest in environmental water issues stemmed from her studies at The College of Wooster in Ohio where she received her BA in Geology.
