Ramona Cearley joined Riverkeeper in November 2007. With a background in communications and the humanities, she previously served multiple roles on a book project entitled Conversations with Texas Writers (University of Texas Press, 2005), an initiative of Humanities Texas. She also coordinated a community history project, along with a touring exhibit, focusing on the long-term aftereffects of natural disasters, such as floods, on rural communities. She received her M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, with an emphasis in photojournalism.
