Join Riverkeeper’s citizen sampling partners and help take water samples at 18 locations downstream of the reservoir on the largest tributary of the Hudson River Estuary! For Creek Week, Rondout Valley High School students and other volunteers, supported by RiverKeeper, will form a Boat Brigade and in conjunction with WAVE, will conduct a visual study of the creek, looking for potential sources of pollution, erosion and wildlife habitats.

Brigade participants should meet at the pavilion at the town hall in Accord. After the boat brigade, meet back at the pavilion at 1:30pm to process samples, share stories, and results. With questions please contact, Town of Rochester Environmental Conservation Commission, at [email protected]

The boat brigade is one of many great events taking place through out Ulster County’s Creek Week 2015. To explore the list of other events, check out Ulster County Environmental Management Council’s website.
