Crude Oil Transportation Risks to Rockland County

When:
September 22, 2014: 7:00PM to 9:00PM
Where:
Rockland County Legislative Offices, 11 New Hempstead Rd, New City, NY 10956 map

Riverkeeper and Scenic Hudson will make a public presentation about the risks associated with crude oil transportation in the Hudson Valley.

Rockland County Legislature has previously passed a resolution expressing concerns about the crude oil that passes through the county by train. This presentation will, in part, update county Legislators on the failures of recent U.S. Department of Transportation actions to reduce the risk. The forum is open, and the public is encouraged to attend.
