Water quality around NY harbor has improved greatly over the past 30 years, but there are still huge hurdles in getting towards truly fishable and swimmable waters. Greenpoint faces extra challenges with the Newtown Creek, a federally designated Superfund site. Join a discussion about the current state of water quality around Greenpoint and what we as a community can do to advance improvements. Panel discussion featuring Willis Elkins {Newtown Creek Alliance + North Brooklyn Boat Club} & Rob Buchanan { NYC Citizens Water Quality Program}

Organized by Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks + Planning

GWAPP Environmental Forums are made possible with funding provided by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation through the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund.
