Tell your friends and followers why you support Riverkeeper’s work to protect the Hudson River and the drinking water supply of 9 million New Yorkers for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the 2012 Progressive Insurance New York Boat Show.
The annual boat show showcases “the latest and greatest in boating, from yachts and cruisers to bass and pontoon boats; from canoes and kayaks to fishing boats and personal watercraft; from electronics and engines to fishing gear; from financing and insurance to travel destinations.” The boat show takes place Jan. 4-8 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 655 West 34th St. in New York City.
To enter, first like Riverkeeper on Facebook or follow riverkeeper_ny on Twitter, then update your status with a statement about why you support Riverkeeper between Monday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, Dec. 18. To make sure we see your statement, include @Riverkeeper in any Facebook posts and @riverkeeper_ny in any Twitter updates.
Winners will be chosen from among the entries and notified via Twitter or Facebook on Monday, Dec. 19. A total of 26 tickets, valued at $14 each, will be given away. Each is good for entrance to the boat show on any one day between Jan. 4-8. We invite all supporters to join us at the show on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m., when Riverkeeper’s boat patrol program will give its presentation, “How’s the Water?” about Hudson River sewage contamination and what we can do to make the river safer for swimming, boating and fishing.
The statements you make in support of Riverkeeper may be attributed to you and used in future Riverkeeper communications.
