Community Ambassador

Become a Riverkeeper Ambassador and join fellow activists in spreading the word on our work in defense of clean water!

As an Ambassador you will be trained by Riverkeeper staff to get the word out on Riverkeeper campaigns, educating your local community and expanding our vital network of clean water advocates. You can represent Riverkeeper at community, recreational, musical, school or other types of events. All materials, in field preparation, answers to FAQ’s and campaign information will be provided.

GOALS OF THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

1) Educate the public and your community about the current threats to the drinking water supply of 9 million New Yorkers, the environmental challenges facing the Hudson River and the actions they can take in defense of clean water.
2) Increase awareness of and support for Riverkeeper and our campaigns.

WHO DO WE WANT TO REACH?

Riverkeeper would like your help to build relationships with:

Green Social Groups

Executive councils, chambers of commerce, local government agencies

Green charity groups

Your place of business or work, your coworkers

Community partners, such as libraries, schools, congregations, farmers markets

River “users” such as kayakers and swimmers, athletic facilities
