Enterococcus (“Entero”) is a fecal indicating bacterium that lives in the intestines of humans and other warm-blooded animals. It is the EPA preferred indicator for sewage contamination.

This site on the western edge of Kingston is located on the north site of Esopus Creek in close proximity to I-587 and I-87. The area around this site is a mixture of forest, agricultural and urban development.
