About this location:

This site is located in a flood-prone area surrounded by agricultural land and parkland. This winding reach of Esopus Creek is bounded to the east by the densely developed commercial strip of Route 9W just outside of Kingston, and to the west by Bluestone Wild Forest, a state preserve.
