Enterococcus (“Entero”) is a fecal indicating bacterium that lives in the intestines of humans and other warm-blooded animals. It is the EPA preferred indicator for sewage contamination.

About this location:

This site is located about one mile downstream of Honk Lake and a half-mile downstream of an old mill site. Downstream of here, Sandburg Creek flows into the Rondout and the Creek makes sharp turn toward the northeast.
