Defend the Hudson:
David P. Ansel is a Partner in the Corporate Department at the law firm Loeb & Loeb LLP. Mr. Ansel’s legal practice focuses on middle market mergers and acquisitions for private equity funds and strategic buyers and sellers. In addition, Mr. Ansel’s practice includes representing real estate companies and other businesses across many industries with respect to joint ventures, partnerships, LLCs, corporate finance and general corporate matters. Mr. Ansel has previously served at Loeb & Loeb as Co-Chairman of the Corporate Department, Chair of the Knowledge Management Committee and Chair of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Task Force. Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb LLP, Mr. Ansel was an attorney in the Structured Finance Department at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, representing issuers, underwriters and insurers of mortgaged backed securities.
Mr. Ansel has a long standing interest in environmental law and policy including clerking in the Environmental Civil Enforcement Department of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and serving as a member of the Sub-Committee for Environmental Law of the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Ansel has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston University and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he served as Senior Articles Editor of the Wisconsin Environmental Law Journal.
Mr. Ansel lives in Westchester New York with his wife and two daughters and spends weekends skiing and hiking at Stratton Mountain in Vermont.
