Krista joined Riverkeeper in September 2015 and has over 20 years’ grantwriting experience. She began her career at Human Rights First and then for 11 years ran a successful development consulting practice whose clients included an Iranian human rights organization, Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley, the New York Women’s Foundation, and the CEL Climate Lab. Krista also taught English in Taiwan for two years with the Overseas Service Corps of the YMCA and spent a summer in Thailand working on a women’s health initiative with the Bangkok YMCA. She holds a BA in Communications from Penn State and an MA in International Affairs and Human Rights from Columbia University. Krista lives in Cortlandt Manor with her husband and three children.
