Defend the Hudson:
Alison Halsey is a Grants Associate at The Moore Charitable Foundation (MCF) focusing on grants in North Carolina, Long Island and The Bahamas. She maintains relationships with grantees, coordinates all foundation contributions, monitors social media, and provides support to the executive director of the foundation.
Alison graduated from The University of Virginia in 2011 with a dual degree in Economics and Sociology. After graduating, she briefly interned for MCF before joining a boutique financial recruiting firm, SG Partners, where she worked for a year and half. Alison returned to MCF full time in March 2013.
Alison joined the Riverkeeper Junior Council in April 2014. Growing up in Richmond, VA, she spent much of her time on the Chesapeake Bay developing a passion for the water and the area’s natural resources. She has always felt the need to be close to water and thinks the Hudson River is one of New York’s greatest assets.
