The landmark General Electric cleanup of the PCBs that make the Hudson the nation’s largest Superfund site is more than three-fourths complete and a year ahead of schedule. With time and capacity to spare, Riverkeeper and a coalition continue to press GE to conduct critically important dredging in the Hudson’s PCB-laden navigational channel and address the 136 acres of highly contaminated river sediments already identified as a cause of delay for the river’s full recovery.
