Join Green Ossining for their 7th Annual Earth Day Festival at Louis B. Engel Waterfront Park on April 22nd from 11am-4pm to learn how to live a more sustainable life, visit artisan vendors, and enjoy food and live music on the Hudson River.

In celebration of the 47th Anniversary of Earth Day, the festival will focus our theme on food sustainability, including such issues as food waste, cooking and food preservation, nutrition, edible gardens, backyard food and permaculture, and access to food.

Hosted by Green Ossining in partnership with both the Town and Village of Ossining, and with sponsorship support from a variety of community businesses, featured events of the day include:

-Arts & Artisan Vendors, including Local “Green” services will be present
-Food sustainability eco-demonstrations & hands-on activities, including a Kid’s Activity Zone
-Community organizations focused on advocacy and service
-Zero-Waste in action on the Festival grounds
-Delicious Local Food including vegetarian and vegan fare
-Craft Beer
-Textile Recycling & E-Waste drop off
-Live Music with local musicians and by our stage hosts Mike & Miriam Risko and the Mike Risko Band

The Festival is hosted and organized by Green Ossining with the assistance of the Town and Village of Ossining. This year’s sponsors include SBS Printing and Shipping, Mike Risko Music, Down to Earth Markets, First Village Coffee, and Good Choice Kitchen.
