Join the Rondout Creek Watershed Alliance for a restoration and maintenance project of 600+ trees planted in partnership with the Department of Environmental Conservation’s Trees for Tributaries program over the last 6 years. Prior to the project, Andrew Faust from the Center of Bioregional Living and the Rondout Creek Watershed Alliance will give a talk about the Ecological history of the Watershed.
Volunteers are invited to help with basic maintenance. Please bring a utility knife or hand pruners/lopers/cutters if you have them and garden gloves. Tools will be provided for those who need them. Volunteers should wear sturdy close-toed shoes or boots and dress for the weather in clothes they feel comfortable getting dirty. Please plan to bring a full reusable water bottle and any snacks you will need during the project.
This is a family-friendly event.

About the Rondout Creek Watershed Alliance: There is no life without water. A creek that we can swim in and eat from is both our right and our responsibility. The Rondout Creek Watershed Alliance was founded to restore the Rondout Creek and its tributaries to their prime, to act as the voice of the Creek, and to advocate for the protection and improvement of the watershed by increasing community awareness and implementing collaborative conservation efforts.
