Join the Ossining Documentary and Discussion Series for a free screening on Racing to Zero, a film about the pursuit in San Francisco to make the city 100% waste free by 2020. The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring Anne Jaffe-Holmes, Director of Education at Greenburgh Nature Center; George Garland from the United Nations Association; and Jennifer Sloan, Director of Education at Groundwork Hudson Valley.
The Screening is Thursday, June 16 with seating starting at 6:15, and the film beginning at 6:30pm.
Trash. Garbage. Junk. These are words we commonly call the things we throw away. In San Francisco they have completely different perspective and see “waste” as “resources”, materials that can always be recycled and turned into new things. They’re aiming to make the city 100% waste free by 2020.
