Join the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to learn about techniques scientists at the Hudson River Research Reserve and other regional research organizations use to study the Hudson river. At this free, hands-on event, participants of all ages will have a chance to get involved with demonstrations and activities for everyone.

A few activities include, canoeing a tidal marsh of the Hudson (weather and space permitting), helping fish the waters of around Norrie Point to discover what organisms live there, observing how the types of organisms living in a stream indicate its health, and many more!

The event will also include an Arm-of-the-Sea Theater production titled, Hook, Line, & Sinker, and special musical guest Funkinships. Many activities are planned especially for our youngest visitors, and most exhibit areas are wheelchair accessible.

Directions to the event can be found here. This event is a collaboration between NOAA, NYDEC, and the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve.
