Join the NYC DEP for a public meeting that will include an update on the development of the Citywide & East River/Open Waters Long Term Control Plans (LTCP) for combined sewer overflows.

New York City is currently developing a LTCP to better understand the impacts of combined sewer overflows (CSOs) and to propose appropriate solutions to improve water quality in the New York Harbor. The Citywide & East River/Open Waters LTCP will encompass the Harlem River, Hudson River, Upper New York Bay, Lower New York Bay, the East River, and the western portion of Long Island Sound.

Since the kickoff meetings, the City received an extension from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and the Citywide & East River/Open Waters LTCP is now due in March 2020.

To review the Kick-off Presentations visit Citywide & East River /Open Water LTCP on the DEP Website.
