Originally, a source of fishing and fresh water to the Mohegan Native Americans, the historic Bronx River, became an attraction for industry and trade. Unfortunately, with the industry, came heavy amounts of pollution, degrading the waterway.

Today, there have been great strides made by the grassroots efforts of many environmental groups like the Bronx River Alliance, toward the revitalization of the Bronx River. Concrete Plant Park, is one of many green spaces that now the line river creating a platform for outdoor recreation like row boating, biking, and sports. Please help The Bronx River Alliance and United By Blue clean-up and continue to preserve this urban oasis.

United By Blue will provide all of the cleanup supplies. Pre-cleanup snacks will be available during check-in, courtesy of Cliff Bar. Please be sure to wear closed toe shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet! Groups of all sizes are welcome!
