In November 2016, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) kicked off the Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP) for the Newtown Creek Watershed. The goal of the LTCP is to identify appropriate CSO* controls necessary to achieve waterbody-specific water quality standards, consistent with the Federal CSO Policy and the water quality goals of the Clean Water Act (CWA).

At the kickoff, community members requested a follow-up meeting to focus on the data analysis conducted for the LTCP. Join the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on Thursday, February 9th for this technical LTCP meeting.
