AirTrain Public Scoping Hearings

Bring your questions and concerns to the public hearings on June 5th and 6th from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the LGA Marriott Hotel. The public hearing is the first step in the environmental review and an opportunity for the public to voice potential impacts of the proposed project and alternatives to be considered. See the notice from Ricondo, the contractor carrying out the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) overseen by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with more information about the public scoping period.

What to Expect
Project information will be displayed at the hearings and representatives from the FAA, Ricondo, and Port Authority will be available to answer questions.

Despite being a public hearing, FAA has said that the public comments will be made directly into the record, without the public hearing the comments from each other. This is extremely uncommon. Guardians of Flushing Bay and the Sensible Way to LGA coalition will make sure that we hear our community’s comments. Please respond to this email if you would like to help make our voices heard!
