Education Meets Celebration in a New Hudson River Chalk-Art Project

Join Riverkeeper on Sunday June 18 as kids, parents, educators, and environmentalists create The Magical Wandering River, an original chalk-art “happening” on the sidewalks of Irvington’s Main Street.

Participants and volunteers will meet outside Main Street School from 9am to 11am to learn about the history, ecology, and artistic legacy of “the river that flows both ways,” pick up complimentary chalk, and help draw The Magical Wandering River, as part of the village’s Celebrate Irvington Day.

The Magical Wandering River chalk-art project is a collaboration among the Village of Irvington, Riverkeeper, Irvington Union Free School District Art Department, Found at 123 Main, and community volunteers.
