Calling all merpeople! Join us on July 20 from noon to 4:00 pm at Kingsland Park in Sleepy Hollow for the first ever Hudson River Mermaid Festival. This enchanting event will bring river enthusiasts together to celebrate and explore the magic of our river on a day filled with fun, food, education, and river stewardship. Don’t forget your bathing suit!
The day’s festivities include:
- Mermaid Parade: Watch or join in as mermaids and sea creatures parade along the riverbank and in the river
- Water activities: Participate in kayaking, paddleboarding, and other exciting water activities. (Registration required)
- Art and storytelling: Enjoy captivating performances, storytelling sessions, and art displays inspired by the river’s myths and legends
- Family fun: Activities for all ages, including wading in the Hudson, games, crafts, bounce houses, food, and live music
The event, produced by the Sleepy Hollow Project in partnership with Riverkeeper, Rivertowns SUP & Yoga, and the Village of Sleepy Hollow, is free and open to the public.
