Ossining Boat and Canoe Club is bringing back their Friday talks this year and Riverkeeper’s Legal Director, Richard Webster, is the featured presenter for their next event.
On the fourth Friday of the month, Ossining Boat and Canoe Club features an author or expert to give a talk on local topics of interest. These talks are open to the public with limited seating on a first come/first serve basis. The upcoming talk will focus on “Next steps for the cleanup of Hudson River PCBs.” Richard Webster, Legal Director for Riverkeeper will discuss the work done to date to remediate one of the nation’s largest Superfund sites, the Hudson River, with particular attention on the next phase and what meaning it will have for communities in this part of the river.
Riverkeeper is pleased to partner with local boat clubs like Ossining Boat and Canoe Club to help spread awareness of the issues that continue to threaten our treasured Hudson River and we hope to see you there!
Parking available in Metro North lot, free after 6:00 pm. Drinks and snacks will be served. Masks are recommended but not required if vaccinated.
