Plastic-Free Waterways through Art

When:
May 4, 2018
Where:
Orange Hall Gallery | Orange County Community College 24 Grandview Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940 map

Join Syracuse University Environmental Finance Center (SU-EFC) and Orange County Community College (OCCC) for a one-of-a-kind art gallery event. The gallery will feature works of art created by New York State students who participated in SU-EFC’s “Plastic-Free Waterways Through Art” contest. The goal of the contest and gallery is to raise awareness about water pollution caused by single-use plastics and to inspire the use of reusable alternatives.

The event will begin with a brief talk by Asher Pacht, Director of Environmental Programs at the Beacon Institute, and it will conclude with the announcement of the first and second place winners.

NOTE: Light refreshments will be served, but attendees must bring their own cups and utensils.
