Join Pleasantville Recycles in support of the reusable bag initiative at the upcoming Pleasantville Village Board public hearing on the initiative.
The proposed ordinance in Pleasantville proposes to encourage shoppers to bring reusable bags by banning single-use carryout bags in all stores (not including meat, fish, and produce bags, dry cleaning bags, and bags larger than 28″36″ as well as to require all stores to charge 5 cents for paper bags with the stores keeping the funds from the bag fee.
