Saw Kill Watershed Community Meeting

Join the Saw Kill Watershed Community for their next meeting on Wednesday, November 20 from 7pm-8:30pm at the Elmendoph Inn in Red Hook. Jay Beaumont from the Moodna Creek Watershed Intermunicipal Council will be presenting issues faced in the Moodna Creek Watershed. Jay Beaumont has over 40-years of experience in the water and wastewater engineering field, including 14-years as Executive Director for the Orange County Water Authority.

The presentation will share the perspective of a neighboring Hudson River tributary – Orange County’s Moodna Creek. This summer the Moodna Creek Watershed Intermunicipal Council received a Hudson River Watershed Alliance Watershed Wavemakers award.

In addition, there will be a presentation about the recent travels of the Bard Water Lab’s FlowCam – a National Science Foundation research cruise for a closer look at microscopic marine life.
