STEM Panel: Illuminating Environmental Career Paths for People of Color

Teatown is hosting a free virtual STEM panel titled “Illuminating Environmental Career Paths for People of Color”.


This two-part panel will feature a diverse group of speakers from a variety of environmental fields. In part 1, panelists will offer details on their specific experiences, including barriers and obstacles they’ve faced during their career. Students in attendance will be given the chance to directly interact with panelists via a question-and-answer session.

In part 2, two keynote speakers, Brigitte Griswold, Executive Director of Groundwork Hudson Valley, and Dr. David Muñoz, Research and Equity Specialist at Penn State University, will provide examples of actionable steps that local leaders can take to develop opportunities for people of color as part of their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
