General Electric is planning to abandon its cleanup of the Hudson, even though enough PCBs remain in the river to delay its recovery for generations. Join Riverkeeper and the Campaign for a Cleaner Hudson at a People’s Protest and Press Conference before the last scheduled community meeting to urge Governor Cuomo and the EPA to require GE to:

  • Stop dismantling its cleanup equipment
  • Dredge remaining toxic “hotspots” in the river
  • Make the Champlain Canal viable again for commercial shipping

The long-term health of the Hudson and our communities is hanging in the balance.

When: Thursday, October 1, at noon
Where: Saratoga Spa State Park Administration Building (Gideon Putnam Room), 19 Roosevelt Drive, Saratoga Springs
How: Free transportation will be provided from Westchester, Dutchess, Ulster, and Albany counties. Reserve a seat on the bus.
