Blue Heart

Join us for the premiere of “Blue Heart”, a new documentary from Patagonia exploring the irreversible damage of hydropower dams on the last of Europe’s wild rivers. The screening will be followed by a live set from Andrew Bird.

More than 3,000 hydropower dams and diversions are either proposed or in process, and will cause irreversible damage to rivers, wildlife and local communities. Blue Heart documents the battle for the largest undammed river in Europe—Albania’s Vjosa—the effort to save the endangered Balkan lynx in Macedonia, and the women of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are spearheading a months-long, 24/7 protest to protect their community’s only source of fresh water.

Tickets are $15 and available at www.brooklynbowl.com. 100% of ticket sales will benefit Riverkeeper.
