Pace Environmental Law – 2019 Hudson Hero Award

Pace Environmental Law

For more than 50 years, Riverkeeper has fought to bring the Hudson River back from the brink, taking on polluters, advocating for clean water legislation, and protecting drinking water for millions of New Yorkers. Now, we turn our sights to the future and the challenge of restoring A Living River.

With the power of thousands of Riverkeeper members, volunteers and supporters behind us, we are setting a new course for the Hudson River and its watershed, tearing down obsolete dams, using science to revive the ecosystem, bring back fish and wildlife and protect our streams.

This year, the Fishermen’s Ball will celebrate all those who are fighting for our environment and a healthy Hudson River. We honor the iconic Debbie Harry for her work to recycle plastics that plague our rivers and oceans into fashion-forward clothing and eliminate the threats to pollinators as well as the Pace Environmental Law program which, for 40 years, has fostered the next generation of environmental leaders committed to using the law to guarantee a safe, clean, and healthy natural world.
