Riverkeeper will present information on our research into the water quality of the Hudson River, Rondout Creek, Wallkill River and Esopus Creek to the Ulster County Environmental Management Council. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The EMC meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Riverkeeper began testing the Hudson River Estuary water quality in 2006, and now tests at 74 locations in the tidal estuary, from New York Harbor to Waterford. In addition, Riverkeeper helps test 160 miles of watershed tributaries, including the Rondout Creek, Esopus Creek and Wallkill River, in partnership with citizen scientists. Water quality is measured against the Environmental Protection Agency’s guidelines for safe swimming.

Water quality data for Ulster County, and throughout the Hudson River estuary, can be found at riverkeeper.org/water-quality/locations.
