Join the Pocantico River Watershed Alliance at their September community meeting for a presentation from Riverkeeper’s Water Quality Program Staff Scientist Jen Epstein. Jen will discuss the Hudson River’s water quality problems related to wastewater, Riverkeeper’s community science monitoring project and the monitoring results local to both the Pocantico River and within the regional context.

Jen Epstein has worked with local community partners to monitor and improve water quality in the Hudson River and its tributaries since 2013. A native of the Hudson Valley, Jen earned an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Fordham University, where she studied the effects of impervious surface coverage on stream ecosystems, and a B.A. in Earth and Planetary Science from the University of California at Berkeley. She was an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Lake Tahoe and a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa.
