Looking for some feel good excitement on Saturday, November 22nd? Meet us at Bacchus Brewing Company in Dryden, NY at 2 p.m. to celebrate New York’s iconic waterways. As you may know, the EPA proposed a rule in March to restore the Clean Water Act, a proposal that would allow for small businesses, like Bacchus, farmers, and people all across the state to continue thriving in a healthy economy. Riverkeeper will gather with environmental groups, clean water advocates, activists, and supporters to discuss and celebrate the importance of protecting New York’s waterways.

This event will be held in time for celebration of the end of the public comment period for the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed rule to close loopholes in the Clean Water Act. In New York this rule will protect over 55 percent of the state’s rivers and streams, including those that flow into our waterways like the Finger Lakes and the Hudson River.

Celebrate with us and give early thanks to the Finger Lakes! Spend a couple of hours with community members, activists, advocates, group leaders and elected officials to learn about efforts to protect New York’s waterways that you and your community cherish.
