In September 2011, the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) released two documents for public comment: its revised draft environmental impact statement, and draft fracking regulations, and the documents which would guide fracking in New York State.

DEC will hold four public hearings on these two documents, and the agency is accepting public comment only until Dec. 12. You can speak your mind, and/or submit written comments at these hearings. Riverkeeper will come out in full force for the last of these hearings, in New York City on Nov. 30.

Join us from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM at Tribeca Performing Arts Center, 199 Chambers Street.

Can't make it? Use our guide to comment on New York’s fracking proposals before Dec. 12.
