Rising to the Top: Clean Water Infrastructure Act of 2017

Environmental Law Section Committee on Legislation’s 2017 Legislative Forum and Luncheon will feature a panel discussion, titled, “Rising to the Top: Clean Water Infrastructure Act of 2017.” (2017 Legislative Forum Agenda)

The panel is described as a “discussion on New York’s comprehensive clean water and infrastructure initiatives, including cleanup and abatement of certain solid waste site and drinking water contamination, source water protection, and the water resources capital projects fund.”

The panelists include Riverkeeper Water Quality Program Director Dan Shapley, as well as Elizabeth Moran, Water and Natural Resources Associate for Environmental Advocates of New York; Darren Suarez, Director of Government Affairs for the Business Council of New York State; and Mary Beth Bianconi, Senior Project Manager for Delaware Engineering.

The keynote address will be delivered by Judith Enck, visiting scholar at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, and former Regional Administrator for U.S. EPA Region 2.

Other featured speakers invited to be part of the program include Assemblyman Steve Englebright and Senator Thomas F. O’Mara, who are each chairs of their Committees on Environmental Conservation.
