Riverkeeper at the West Point/Town of Highlands Farmers’ Market

Riverkeeper will be at the West Point/Town of Highland Farmers’ Market on Sunday, September 16th from 9am-2pm to talk to the public about a variety of issues from Indian Point to fracking and volunteering with Riverkeeper to the recently adopted Sewage Pollution Notification Law. Sponsored by Vision, a community-based improvement organization, the West Point/Town of Highland market has been around since 2000 putting it on the forefront of the local foods movement. It is open every Sunday from June thru October featuring vegetables, fruit, and plants grown by local farmers as well as locally produced eggs and poultry, Hudson Valley wines, breads, cheese, jams, jellies and craft products. The market is located in the Municipal Parking lot in downtown Highland Falls, across from West Point Visitors Center.
