The S.W.I.M. Coalition will honor Carter Strickland, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection in the Bloomberg Administration, for his visionary leadership advancing NYC’s nationally recognized green stormwater infrastructure agenda. He will receive the Harbor Seal of Approval.

Stormwater Infrastructure Matters (S.W.I.M.) is a coalition dedicated to ensuring swimmable waters around New York City through natural, sustainable stormwater management practices in our neighborhoods. This approach is environmentally and fiscally responsible because it utilizes stormwater, currently viewed as waste, as a resource. Riverkeeper is a founding member.

The S.W.I.M. Drinks event honoring Strickland is sponsored by DeepRoot LLC and the Hudson River Foundation. Tickets are $15. Register at swimdrinks.brownpaperticket.com.

Join us on Thursday, April 10th for S.W.I.M. Drinks at the Hudson River Foundation to present Mr. Strickland with the Harbor Seal of Honor. The event will take place from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.
