Stella Blue’s Band Plays “Free Dead in the Park”

Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s free concert in Central Park in 1968, Stella Blue’s Band will play a free show at the park’s Naumburg Bandshell on May 8, 2018.

The concert, from 5 to 8 pm, will mark the anniversary of The Grateful Dead’s epic May 5, 1968 show at the Bandshell that was attended by nearly 5,000 people. It will also raise money for Riverkeeper, (www.riverkeeper.org) a local environmental group that focuses on cleaning up the Hudson River and protecting the watershed that provides drinking water for 9 million people.
