Riverkeeper is hosting a cleanup of the Hudson River shoreline at Ulster County’s Sojourner Truth Ulster Landing Park and the adjacent Turkey Point State Forest, in the Town of Saugerties. Volunteers are needed to help clean trash from the shoreline between the public beach and the Turkey Point bulkhead.

To volunteer for the Oct. 6 Fall Sweep at this beautiful stretch of Ulster County shoreline, please RSVP to Dan Shapley at [email protected] or 914-478-4501 x226. Volunteers should come equipped with appropriate sun protection and clothing, as well as work gloves.

This cleanup is made possible by the UPS Foundation; the Ulster County departments of Building and Grounds, and of the Environment; and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Division of Lands and Forests.
