Understanding the Facts on Fracking

When:
November 16, 2011: 7:00PM to 8:30PM
Where:
Esopus Library, 128 Canal Street, Port Ewen, NY map

The fracking threat is imminent. Albany could permit companies to drill for natural gas using high-volume hydraulic fracturing (fracking) in New York State starting as early as 2012—and without adequate protections for drinking water. Riverkeeper is filing detailed comments on the Department of Environmental Conservation’s (DEC’s) proposed regulations, and the DEC and Gov. Cuomo needs to hear from you, too. Join Kate Hudson, Riverkeeper’s Watershed Program Director, at the Esopus Library on Wednesday, November 16th at 7pm to get up to speed with the latest developments on fracking in New York State and learn how you can make your voices heard on this issue.

Please RSVP for the event on facebook.

Riverkeeper hopes to see you on the 16th; in the meantime, please consider taking action on fracking here: https://www.riverkeeper.org/news-events/news/safeguard-drinking-water/tell-the-dec-and-cuomo-dont-frack-with-nys-water/.
