From Westchester to the World: Importance of the Rule of Law in Protecting the Environment

Paul Gallay, president and Hudson Riverkeeper, will speak at the annual meeting of the United Nations Association of the U.S.-Westchester County about Riverkeeper’s role in founding the Waterkeeper movement that now includes nearly 200 keepers around the world.

Judge Merideth Wright, who serves on the Vermont Environment Court and has been nominated as Judicial Scholar at the International Judicial Institute for Environmental Courts and Tribunals, will also speak about international environmental courts.

The winners of the best high school essay on sustainable water resource issues will also receive awards.
