Jan Wysocki

Chair Emeritus

Jan Wysocki joined HSBC’s Private Banking in the fall of 2007. As a Managing Director and Senior Private Banker based in New York City, Jan and her team are responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with high-net-worth families throughout New York, the greater Northeast, South East and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Before joining HSBC Private Banking, she served as Managing Director and Senior Banker at Deutsche Bank. She also worked at JP Morgan and its predecessor banks in various management positions. Prior to that she was a Financial Consultant and Private Equity & Hedge Fund Sales Specialist in Merrill Lynch’s Private Client Division. Jan’s private banking career began at The Citibank Private Bank more than three decades ago where she graduated from their prestigious Global Institute of Finance.

Jan’s private banking experience includes work with Family Offices and Multi-Family Offices as well as with Corporate Executives; Financial Sponsors, Hedge Fund, Real Estate & Legal Professionals and Entrepreneurs. Most of her clients have a global nature to their affairs and Jan is particularly well-versed in handling these aspects. Jan has an interest in diversity & inclusion as well as environmental and sustainability matters. She serves on several committees and boards that focus on these issues.

Jan holds a B.S. from Cornell University and has an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance. Jan and her family reside in Old Lyme, CT. They also spend time on the century old family dairy farm in upstate New York situated on a Hudson River tributary.

Jan also had the pleasure of serving as the Chair of the Riverkeeper Advisory Board for several years and as a liaison to the main board. As Chair Emeritus of the Advisory Board she remains a continuing and active member.
