With spring just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about Earth Day, the Riverkeeper Sweep, and how YOU can protect clean water in your community!
What: A 30-minute telebriefing for our Volunteers and Ambassadors. Riverkeeper is recruiting volunteers throughout the region for two upcoming events. On and around Earth Day, April 22, we are enlisting volunteers to discuss Riverkeeper issues at community Earth Day events. And we are recruiting volunteer leaders to organize cleanups or other service projects in your communities on Saturday, May 11, for our second-annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River.
Who: Join our Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, Dana Gulley, and Member & Events Manager, Dan Shapley to find out how you can lead the charge on clean water issues in your community—from fighting fracking and Indian Point, to ensuring a sewage-free swim and the protection of our Hudson River fish species.
When: To accommodate varying schedules, we are offering two thirty-minute sessions on the same day: Monday, February 25 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
RSVP: Please e-mail me at [email protected] to RSVP for the session that works best for you. Conference Dial-In Number: 605-475-4000. Enter Participant Access Code: 878758#
