HSBC volunteers maintain shorefront at Riverside Park

Yesterday, volunteers from HSBC joined Riverkeeper and the Riverside Park Conservancy for an invasive species removal project. Together 46 HSBC volunteers removed two truckloads of mugwort, bindweed, and honey locust seedlings. Invasive species management is critical to helping native plants compete.

Over the last two years, HSBC has worked with us on over a dozen volunteer projects across New York City with over 450 staff participating. HSBC volunteers have joined us on the Hudson River, East River, and along Newtown Creek. Thank you to HSBC for supporting Riverkeeper and your local waterways!
