This dedicated group of Riverkeeper members provide dependable gifts we rely on, especially in leaner months. Monthly donations support all of the programs you love, from water quality sampling and the annual Riverkeeper Sweep to our boat patrol, legal actions, and habitat restoration work. • Give a Gift in Someone’s Memory or Honor

  Honor a friend or family member, or their memory, with a gift in their name. Honorary and memorial donations are lasting and meaningful alternatives to gifts or flowers. Many choose such a gift to recognize a friend or family member’s love of the Hudson River.

  Donating stock helps you save significantly on two types of taxes, making a big difference for Riverkeeper’s mission at a lower cost for you. • Donate from your IRA

  Are you 70.5 years or older? If you have a traditional IRA, you can donate to Riverkeeper directly from this account, tax-free by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Giving through your IRA does not qualify for a charitable deduction, but the distribution can satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD) without counting towards your taxable income.
