We brought together over 100 scientists, advocates, activists, regulators, municipal leaders, academics, and communicators to discuss how to collaboratively monitor, protect, and improve water quality in the Hudson River watershed.
Organized by Riverkeeper, the third annual Hudson River Water Quality Monitoring Collaborative Workshop put experts and decisionmakers in the same room to address the biggest challenges facing the watershed and develop creative solutions to overcome them.

This year’s Workshop focused on Pathways to Action and featured mini-training and discussion sessions to explore how to use the law, advocacy, science, communication, planning, Riverkeeper’s Water Quality Portal, and working with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to make monitoring data actionable in improving water quality throughout the watershed.
With the current federal administration’s continued rollbacks to scientific research and clean water protections, it is even more vital that regional stakeholders, independent researchers, and local agencies work together to fill the gaps left by retreating federal oversight.
