Environmental groups challenge findings in EPA’s Hudson River Superfund Site review
The Friends of a Clean Hudson (FOCH), a coalition of national, state, and regional organizations led by Riverkeeper, Scenic Hudson, and Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, submitted comments on the EPA’s draft third five-year review for the Hudson River PCBs Superfund Site calling on the agency to find the cleanup is “not protective of human health and the environment.”

Environmental organizations bring lawsuit against New York for Endangered Species Act violation that imperils iconic Atlantic sturgeon
Today, the Delaware Riverkeeper Network and Riverkeeper filed an Endangered Species Act (ESA) lawsuit to force New York to address the illegal capture and killing of endangered Atlantic sturgeon by commercial fishing operations. Parallel lawsuits were also filed by the two groups against Delaware and New Jersey.

Congressional leaders wrote to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan, urging the EPA to follow the science and rule that further PCB clean-up in the Hudson River is needed in the upcoming Five-Year Review (FYR) report.
